Weather

This category collects weather symbols that suit forecast messages, travel posts, moods and text decoration.

Some are color emoji (☀️, ⛅) and others are text symbols that take the color of the font (☀, ☁). If you want a clean look for a table or a widget, text symbols usually fit better.

Practical Tips

  • For temperatures, write the unit with a space between the number and °C (for example, 24 °C). The single character ℃ also exists.
  • In a forecast, put a word next to the symbol (“☀ sunny”). Screen readers read the symbol’s name, which does not always match what you mean.
  • Text symbols can look smaller or misaligned in some fonts. Adjust the size if needed.
  • For an expressive tone in chats use the color emoji. For formal text, use the text symbols.

How to Use Weather

  1. Click on any symbol to copy it to your clipboard.
  2. Open the app or website where you want to use it.
  3. Paste it with Ctrl+V (Windows) or Cmd+V (Mac).
  4. Check how it looks: the final appearance depends on the font of the device.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use them in a widget or on a web page?

Yes, they are Unicode characters. Use UTF-8 encoding and check how they look in the browsers you want to support.

Why is the sun black and white?

That version is a text symbol. If you want the sun in color, copy the emoji version or try another device.

How do I type the degree symbol (°)?

On Windows, hold Alt and type 0176 on the numeric keypad. On a phone, it is often among the symbols on the keyboard.

How symbols look depends on the font and system of each device. We have not tested them on every device. Updated: October 2026
