Fancy Text Copy and Paste is a free tool for adding a little personality to plain text. You can copy symbols and emoji, turn ordinary words into styled text such as bold, cursive or gothic lettering, and draw simple pictures made from characters. Everything works in the browser: click what you like, then paste it into your bio, caption, message, document or username.
The symbol library is split into categories such as arrows, hearts, currency signs, country flags and weather. Each category page lists every symbol with its Unicode code point and adds short notes on how that group behaves: why a flag may show up as two letters on some Windows computers, why a heart can turn black or colored depending on the system, or how to type a euro sign on a keyboard.
The text styles produced by the font generator are not real fonts. Unicode contains whole alphabets of mathematical and decorative letters, and the generator swaps each ordinary letter for its look-alike in one of those alphabets. Because the result is plain text, it can be pasted almost anywhere that accepts Unicode, with no font to install. The trade-off is that a few apps and older devices do not include every character, and screen readers may read the styled letters poorly. For anything important, such as a name people must be able to search for, keep a plain version nearby.
A symbol is just a code. Each device decides how to draw it, so the same emoji looks different on an iPhone, an Android phone and a Windows PC, and a very new character may appear as an empty box on an older system. We have not tested every character on every device, so if something shows up wrongly, try another symbol from the same category or update the system on the device that displays it.
