Works in Most Places

Use them on Instagram, X, Facebook, WhatsApp, Discord and in any app or website that accepts Unicode text. How they look can vary by device.

No registration needed. All symbols are ready to use immediately with just one click.

Arrows

Unicode has a whole block for arrows (U+2190 to U+21FF) and more arrows spread across other blocks, such as ➜ and ➡. They are text characters, so they paste into any field and stay as sharp as a letter.

They are useful for step-by-step instructions (A → B → C), menu paths (File → Save), tables, lists, quick notes, or to give a title some emphasis.

Practical Tips

  • Some arrows, like ➡ or ↩, can turn into colored emoji on certain devices. If you want a plain text arrow, pick another one from the list.
  • In Word, typing --> is often converted to → automatically by autocorrect.
  • For lists, use the same arrow every time. Mixing styles makes text harder to read.
  • Screen readers read arrows by name (“rightwards arrow”). Do not replace important words with arrows.

How to Use Arrows

  1. Click on any symbol to copy it to your clipboard.
  2. Open the app or website where you want to use it.
  3. Paste it with Ctrl+V (Windows) or Cmd+V (Mac).
  4. Check how it looks: the final appearance depends on the font of the device.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I type an arrow on the keyboard?

There is no standard key. The fastest way is to copy it from this page. If you use one a lot, you can save it as a text shortcut in your phone keyboard.

Why does my arrow show in color?

Some arrows have an emoji version, which is drawn in color on certain systems. Pick another arrow from the collection if you prefer the plain text version.

Do arrows look the same on every device?

Basic arrows exist in almost every font and look fine. Less common ones may show as an empty box on older devices.

How symbols look depends on the font and system of each device. We have not tested them on every device. Updated: October 2026
